We’re sending a team of third party risk experts who will show you “how” to accomplish some of the most challenging vendor management tasks. 

Bring your laptop and your vendor list – we’re going to roll up our sleeves and dive in to running a live risk assessment, building a vendor management policy, identifying your critical vendors, defining due diligence requirements for your vendors and much more. 

When you leave this workshop you will take live work product home to apply to the rest of your vendor management program.

9:00-9:10am Introduction 
9:10-10:10am An Auditor's Perspective
We will review common mistakes as well as practical tips for solid vendor management practices from an auditor's perspective. We will walk you through all parts of the process starting with what vendors really need to be reviewed, all the way through the documentation piece to discuss the most prevalent issues we are seeing in today's environment.   
10:10-11:40am Risk Assessment Workshop
We will walk you through the risk assessment questionnaire and guide you in how to think about your answers. And, you can ask questions along the way! At the end of the session, you will have completed your risk assessment .
11:40am-12:00pm ~ Break ~
12:00 - 12:45pm Vendor Management Maturity Test
We will walk you through
 a series of yes and no questions, receive a score to learn how mature your vendor management program is. 
12:45 -  1:30pm ~ Lunch ~
1:30 - 2:15pm Critical Vendor Workshop
Learn the process of  how to clearly define and identify all of your critical vendors. 
2:15 - 3:15pm Defining Proper Due Diligence Requirements 
Learn what the regulatory guidance calls for in due diligence, the common pitfalls of document gathering, best practices in creating a risk based program, misconceptions and how to clear the “we’ve never been asked this before” hurdle.
3:15 - 3:30pm ~ Break ~
3:30-3:50 pm Rapid Session: Writing an Effective Vendor Management Policy and Program Document
Your Policy is your playbook that informs everyone in the organization of your plan to address third party risk. Your Program supports your Policy. During this session, we will take you through the key items you need to know in creating one of your own. 
 3:50-4:10 pm Rapid Session: Understanding and Dissecting a Vendor SOC Audit Report
Reading through a SOC report can feel like learning a new language. We will walk you through the key components in SOC audit reports and the impact they have on your institution. By the end of this discussion, you will know how to approach the review of a SOC report including identifying key systems described within the report, control considerations and evaluating the risk of exception items.
 4:10-4:30 pm Rapid Session: Why Vendor Financial Health Is Critical to Performance
As part of your vendor management due diligence, you should be reviewing your vendor's financial performance annually (or perhaps quarterly if results dictate a more frequent review). Learn the key indicators you should be on the lookout for.
